GovernorFebruary Spotlight:
2010 MLK Jr. Day of Service, Part 2!
The pouring rain didn't put a damper on January's MLK Day celebration as volunteers painted and helped out at the library of Van Nuys Middle School, and children marched for freedom. Volunteers will return to the school on President's Day to complete the projects that nearly 400 volunteers began on this rainy day.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and First Lady Maria Shriver joined the L.A. Works community and corporate volunteers in service to honor the spirit and legacy of Dr. King by transforming and revitalizing the grounds of Van Nuys Middle School.

Corporate Resolutions 2010
BusinessWorksAs executives launch into 2010, corporate volunteer programs have been top-of-mind. For over a decade, L.A. Works has encouraged corporate citizenship by building a bridge between our corporate partners and the communities of Los Angeles. Our corporate service program, BusinessWorks, is now L.A.'s leader in corporate community service and volunteering, setting a new trend in corporate philanthropy that is focused on action, innovation, and impact. We offer customized projects that create team-building opportunities and boost employee morale. Give L.A. Works a call today to be a part of 2010's corporate commitment to volunteerism!

Support for Haiti Earthquake Survivors
The devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12th has affected an estimated 3 million people who desperately need your help. Emergency relief organizations are already on site providing water, shelter, medical care, sanitation facilities, and other supplies. Help them aid survivors by making a donation today to one of these organizations or the nonprofit of your choice.
