Let's Read - Pueblo Del Rio - Orientation for New Let's Read Volunteers

Agency: Let's Read (Pueblo del Rio)

Description: This is the Orientation Session for new volunteers to the Let's Read Project. You must attend the Orientation if you're signing up for the Spring Let's Read Long-Term project that starts on May 20 and runs every Saturday through July 29.

Let's Read is a long-term program whose purpose is to provide the kids of Pueblo del Rio with the tools to help them reach their dreams. We work individually and as a group with these kids to help them with school-related materials as well as try to expose them to topics that they may not otherwise be familiar with. If you like kids and wish to develop a relationship with one or a few of them, this is a program that might be for you.

NOTE: PROSPECTIVE VOLUNTEERS IN THIS PROGRAM MUST COMMIT TO THE FULL SESSION (which for Spring, 2006 runs May 20 through July 29 on 10 consecutive Saturday Mornings) IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE. YOU MUST TALK WITH DAVID, THE PERSON RUNNING THE PROGRAM, BEFORE JOINING IT.

Please either email him at davidtrilling@worldnet.att.net and provide him with your telephone number (s) or give him a call in the evenings at 323-933-8910.

In addition to signing up for this orientation, please sign up for the Full 10 week session which begins next week. Signing up for the May 20 project commits you to the full 10-week term.
